Local Players Dominate Nottingham

37 players enjoyed the 13th Nottingham tournament, held on Sept 6th. The venue for the second time was a pair of church halls in Lady Bay, Nottingham, which is fast becoming a favourite Go venue, the British pairs being held there this year too. It provides a light and airy hall for reviewing and socialising, as well as the playing hall, and is close to food sources!

Winner was Changhao Huang (5 dan, UCL), who received the Nottingham trophy, which was first awarded in 1983. He took the trophy home with pride, for one year. Best player below the bar was Ai Guan (1d), who has recently moved to Nottingham with work. Three players were tied for best SDK - Chun Yin Ng (1k) and Tim James and Jack Warren (both 2k, Nottingham).

Best DDK was Jacob Oleshko (11k, Nottingham) and best 20k+ was James Bray (22k, Nottingham). Results. Apologies for the many Nottingham winners - it wasn't fixed - honest!!
